The European Bridge — a Network of Values, Exchange and Transformation
The European Bridge is an international initiative designed to support Ukraine and Moldova on their path to the EU. Over eight months, it will bring together civil society organisations from five countries to communicate European values, reforms and democratic change in an accessible way.
The project creates a space for live dialogue among citizens of Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, France and Poland. Particular attention is given to young people, women and residents of rural communities.
From Kraków to Berlin
In June the project launched in Kraków, where 25 civil society representatives met for training, an exchange of experience and a search for new formats of conversation about European values.
Next steps include the creation of a multilingual educational toolkit, Bridges of Values, dialogue forums in five countries, and a closing meeting in Berlin, where the ideas developed will be turned into concrete recommendations for European policymakers.
Partners
The project brings together five civil society organisations:
- Comparative Research Network e.V. — Germany;
- COTA ONG — France;
- Fundacja Mapa Pasji — Poland;
- NGO “Network for Development” (UNAEDI) — Ukraine;
- NGO Interaction — Republic of Moldova.
The initiative is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The European Bridge is a space where European values become the foundation for cooperation, new ideas and real change in communities.
